Lion El'Johnson is the son of Tamara El'Johnson and Paul El'Johnson. Paul El'Johnson was a Starfleet captain who ship was destroyed 23 years ago on a patrol along the Klingon border. Tamara El'johnson died giving birth to her son shortly after Paul was killed. She was a Terraforming engineer working for the Daystrom Institute.

Lion El'johnson grew up in an orphange on Earth and was considered a disgruntled Teen. He was constantly getting into fights with the kids in his class and was considered to be an up and coming drop out.

At age 15 he finally found out the true nature of his fathers death and took it upon himself to up his game. He became a recluse and done nothing but studied Starfleet. His teachers were worried about him and thought that his obsession would do him harm. They tried to steer him away from this but to no avail.

He pressed his grades higher until he was eligible to sit the starfleet entrance exam. He was successful and entered starfleet at 17 years of age.

Lion pressed on his studies and specialized in tactical procedures both land and ship based. He had very few friends at the academy mainly due his concentration on his studies.

He graduated with honours age 22.

Lion excelled himself on his first assignment of tactical officer aboard the USS Britannia. His first assignment was short lived as the Britannia was lost during a battle with 2 birds of prey. He stayed at his post whilst the escape pods were launched and along with the captain maneuvered the ship to cover their escape.

Lion successfully destroyed one bird of prey and crippled the other. During the final exchange the bridge was hit. Captain Andrew Vasty was knocked out and the console Lion was at exploded. Lion gathered himself and carried the captain to the escape pod.

When starfleet arrived to salvage the escaped pods they found Lion and the captain unconcious. The captain had suffered mild head trauma but Lion had lost his left eye and had 2nd degree burns to his face and left hand and arm.
The doctors aboard the rescue ship commented on how poorly Lion had treat his own wounds and jokingly recommended a refresher course in emergency first aid to which he took as serious and immediately started studying.

Due to his self administered treatments, Lion has scarring across the left side of his face and his left arm and an occular implant.

Lion was awarded the Startfleet medal of Honour for action above and beyond the call of duty. Lion was also granted a promotion from Ensign to Lieutenant Commander.

Lion is currently in rehabilitation to get use to his occular implant but should be up and ready for duty by December.
