Official Voice Server/Client?

I was under the impression that we have an official voice server/client preference from the startrekonline forums where it lists us:

Fleet Name: Red Squadron
Fleet's website: www.red-squadron.com
Affiliation: Federation
TimeZone: to be determined
Gameplay: Hvy RP
Political Contact(s): Admiralty@red-squadron.com
Other Games: Bridge Commander, Starfleet Command
Voice Server: Ventrilo

Yet I also hear talk about Voon and something else. Could someone clarify this? Thanks!

we use voon but have switch to gsc go to the media tab on the red squad home page and you can down load and use!

Thanks, I downloaded the GSC installer and installed it (at least at work to test it out).

What is our GSC game/clan server? Or do you just connect with a friends list like an IM client?

I just downloaded GSC and have it all setup. Just to let you all know i'm not much of a voice chat type of person, I'm kind of vein in how my voice sounds over speakers. I do listen and will answer with type in game. Hope this is not a big deal to you all.

No problem. You can just listen and type instead if you prefer. GSC lets you use voice and/or text.
